The City of Erlanger would like to welcome you to the "Friendship City". Here you will find the relaxed atmosphere of suburban living while only minutes from restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The city itself has nine parks for you to enjoy, ranging from a simple basketball court and swings to sand volleyball and fishing. The Administration Department's Parks and Recreation Division offers monthly events and a summer park program. Annually the city hosts its Amazing Race Scavenger Hunt, Friendship City 5K, September 11 Memorial Service, and Heritage Day. Many enjoy the Memorial Day parade that the Erlanger-Elsmere VFW (Veterans from Foreign Wars) holds each year that runs through Erlanger and Elsmere along Dixie Highway. Erlanger Baptist Church has an annual block party inviting everyone to attend. Erlanger Lions Club has their annual Lions Carnival and St. Henry Church has their St. Henry Festival.
