School Resource Officer/DARE

The School Resource Officer Program is handled by two officers, Scott Abney and Tim Thames. Both officers have attended the Department of Criminal Justice Basic School Resource Officer class. Officer Abney is assigned to Lloyd High School and Officer Thames is to Tichenor Middle School. Some of the activities and programs that this position is responsible for are: Youth Crime Watch, I-Safe, I-Stik, summer camps and assisting with the athletic programs at both schools.

Officer LaTosha Humphrey is a DARE Instructor for Arnett Elementary, Lindeman Elementary and Miles Elementary. In this endeavor, she makes positive contacts with the elementary school children in the Erlanger/Elsmere School District. Children learn not only to "Say No to Drugs" but that Police Officers can be your friend.
